It was founded in 1848 by a local innkeeper and grew steadily, launching its key beer – Jever Pilsener – in 1937. It is now part of the Radeburger Group, the largest brewer in Germany. Today it produces 5 Jever branded beers and shandies, three of which are alcohol free.

Dry/ish review

Very clean aroma. Medium bodied with some depth to its unexpectedly sharp taste. Short lived, bitter aftertaste. No sweetness at all. Not unpleasant, refreshing but nothing particularly memorable about it and others are more enjoyable.
