Krombacher’s roots are in the village of Krombach in Germany. The brewery is first mentioned in documents in 1803 and after several changes in ownership was purchased by the Schadeberg family who still own it today. Today Krombacher is one of the largest privately owned brewers in Germany and is the most widely drunk beer there. Its beers are brewed according to the German purity law and are made with water from the company’s natural rock spring. Krombacher has several alcohol free beers and continues to innovate in the sector.
